Life with FINANCES

At Full Life we are not shy when it comes to finances. Why? Because they, just like other topics, are a real life concern. For example, many of our financial lives have been shifted due to the recent COVID-19 that plagues our nations. Our economy has been hit and many of our hearts have sunken. However, there is hope for the believer!

The Body of Christ was never meant to rely on this world’s system anyway. God is our provider and this defeated virus has the potential to show us our level of preparation and our pivotal need to trust in God no matter what it looks like.

Having a strong distaste for poverty, our Pastor makes it a point to bring up finances often in our services. He grew up in it and knows its affects all too well. If when he was saved, Jesus came to make his life better, then better must also mean moving from the ghetto to the get more, and not to simply have more but to live a full life of purpose. There are Christians who believe that humble living means poor living, our pastor used to be one of them, but we come to tell you that financial increase is not the devil.

The devil comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. With that, we stand by the notion that poverty must be his work. Financial states have the potential to:

  • Destroy families

  • Increase drug activity among our youth and communities

  • Cause oppression

  • Inspire drug addictions

  • Create poor recreational choices

  • Deny us certain healthcare opportunities

  • Increase atheism, due to either pride (Money is so powerful that having it can draw many to grow so prideful that they forget they didn’t but breathe in their own bodies) or because of hopelessness

  • Steal hope

  • Rob of us of our joy

  • Keep us busy but not present. (We can afford a little slowing down.)

  • Kill our dreams

  • Encourage us to kill others or ourselves

  • Decrease marriage survival rates

Though nothing can compare to the richness of our salvation and relationship with Jesus, let us encourage you that it is in the will of God for us to be financially stable and able to pour out into others. There are rewards in giving and having great stewardship over what we are given in this earth.
